Hi everyone, Vicki here, today I have a fun and useful way to use your designer paper!
Step 1: Choose your designer paper. I used a few sheets from the newly released, Colorful Collective paper pack. Cut five strips from different sheets that fit the width of your card blank. Start tearing the edges, to get the “white” part, tear towards yourself.
Step 2: Once all your strips are torn, adhere them to your card base. I used the Soft Finished Card Stock for my card base
Step 3: Pick any stamp or die-cut image you want to use. I used the dragonfly stamp and die, from the Beetles and Bugs stamp and die set. Stamp in black ink onto patterned paper and die cut.
Step 4: I then cut two frames from the Picture Frames & Mats die set, and adhered both the stamped image and the frames to my card base.
Top tip: Stamping your images onto patterned paper is a great way to use your stamps, if you find coloring challenging. Simply stamp your image onto designer paper, and die cut the image out!
Step 5: Next add a sentiment. I used a sentiment from the Playful Sentiments stamp set. I stamped the text onto white card and cut it to size before adhering the sentiment in place onto the card.
I do love these techniques for using designer paper. I have a lot in my stash and plan on using this in the future. I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy tutorial, and try it yourself!
