Father’s Day Card!

Hi and welcome to my first blog post. I’ve used items from Devid’s new so Art Journal ‘Remember Moments’ collection to make a ‘Father’s Day’ Card from our Dogs, to thank my partner for all the lovely adventures they go on.

This collection is right up my street and I’ve used the following items:

• Coffee Dyed Paper Pad

• Passport Stamps Stamp Set

• Around The World Stamp and Die Set

• Travel Phrases Stamp Set

• Remember Die Set

I started by cutting a piece of the Coffee Dyed Paper to size to fit the front of the Kraft card blank but with a black mat underneath, before using 3 different brown Distress Inks to add extra colour to the paper. I then stamped a background using the Passport stamps and coffee archival ink.

Next I stamped all the stamps from the Around The World stamp set and one of the Travel Phrases stamps on to white card stock using black ink.

I used the matching dies to cut each stamped image out, and also die cut a film strip from the Remember die set in black card stock.

I then coloured each of these stamped images with the brown distress inks to give them an aged look.

Finally I laid everything out to decide on the composition of my card design before gluing all the pieces down and used 3D foam behind the sentiment to lift it off the page, and this is the end result.
