About José
Location: Westerlee, the Netherlands.
A Little About Me: Back in 2017 I had some health issues, so I started to look for new creative hobbies.
I started with diamond painting, mixed media, drawing, art journaling, and paper crafting.
Drawing, art journaling, and paper crafting are the things I still do this day, and I can't really go a day without them.
When they asked me to join the Design Team of Elizabeth Craft Designs in 2022, I couldn't believe my luck. I started with ArtJournal Specials and this year; I got the chance to continue in the Cute & Whimsical team. I really enjoy inspiring other people with the things I make, and the different collections give me more and more ideas!
My Favorite Project
Project Title: Say Cheese!
Why It’s My Favorite: This is my favorite page so far, and I call it ´´Say Cheese!´´, suitable for a mouse but also for a photo camera.
I really enjoy working with the "Meet The Mice" collection, and I also like to incorporate this into journals.
I have combined the mouse collection with collections from the ArtJournal Specials.
I like this project so much because I like to keep things I make in journals.
I really enjoyed combining the collections and letting my imagination run wild.
I think it's cool to work with rust, and I have also used it on various elements on this page. Actually, all my favorites are on one page!
Craft Tip or Must-Have Tool
My Favorite Crafting Tool or Tip: I can't live without my tweezers from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I use it to pick up the smallest things.
In addition, my die-cutting machine is my best friend! I have an electric A4 die-cutting machine and also a small die-cutting machine for small dies.
My tip is always to have baby wipes at home. I think they are miracle wipes, and I use them to clean basically everything, such as my glass mat, stamps, and stencils. They are also very useful for dirty hands!
A Peek Into My Craft Space
About My Craft Space: I really like having my own place for my hobbies. Here, I am not distracted, and I can really relax. It's small but nice! I have everything I need nearby.
I labeled my drawers so I know what's in them. My bins and folders with stamps and dies are also labeled so that I know which collections are in which.
It gives me much peace of mind if I know where everything is when I need it. I have the tools that I use a lot on my desk, such as brushes, tweezers, ink, and glue. Because I use my alcohol markers a lot, I put them in a special storage system on my desk. I'm a fan of tidying everything up as soon as I'm done crafting. This usually takes some time, but I like to work neatly and cleanly.
