How to Make your Own Custom Color Swatch Cards
Take the guesswork out of your craft room and keep your favorite ink, paint, and marker palettes beautifully organized right at your fingertips! In this step-by-step tutorial, you'll learn how to craft your own custom color swatches using stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Grab your favorite ink pads and cardstock to follow the full guide below!
Step 1: Stamp the Color Swatches. Choose the large or small color swatch stamp, depending on your preference, and stamp as many swatches as you need onto the Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step 2: Stamp the Color Samples. Using the coordinating mini rectangle stamp, fill each color swatch card with up to five different color samples. This allows you to compare shades and variations on a single card.
Step 3 – Label Your Colors: Write or stamp the name and reference number of each color on every swatch. This will make it easy to identify your inks or coloring mediums whenever you need them.
Step 4: Cut Out the Swatches and Assemble the Swatch Ring. Fussy-cut each color swatch card so they are ready to assemble. Cut the hole where you will add the ring. Punch a hole in the top corner of each swatch card and place them onto a binder ring. Arrange them by color family or brand to create a practical, organized color reference.

If you prefer, you can stamp the Color Swatches directly onto the pages of a swatch book or on your binder instead of assembling them on a ring.
