Hello everyone, Lisanne here with an new cute mouse card. Let’s start with this fresh melon card!
Step 1: Start with trimming some paper for the base of the card. I used Kraft cardstock, measuring 4.9” x 9.8” (12.5 x 25 cm), which I scored and folded in half to create the base. I also trimmed the patterned paper to 4.9” x 4.9” (12 x 12 cm) as a mat layer.
Step 2: I die-cut a few watermelons, one for the mouse and the other to use inside my shaker element. I used Soft Finish Cardstock and colored them with Distress Inks.
Step 3: Then use the shaker dies to create your cute shake element, which you will fill with the watermelons. At the back of the shaker, I adhere small foam tape so the watermelons can move. In the shaker dies set, there is a mat for the shaker part. So that part is behind the foam tape.
Step 4: The little mouse is also made from Soft Finish Cardstock and colored with Distress Ink, except the clothes. Her bikini is made from patterned paper.
Step 5: The last step for this shaker card. is to stamp the sentiment ‘life is better in the summer’ on a piece of kraft cardstock, and adhere everything together.
I hope you enjoyed by reading this blogpost and you got inspired with this cute mouse.
