About Christine

A Little About Me: I have been married for many decades and am grateful to my husband for many things! He is a kind, patient man and my biggest fan. His willingness is off the charts. I am a mama of 4 grown hoomans- 2 daughters and 2 sons! A grandma to 3 precious grandsons! I love my family and pride myself on being kind, moral, loving to all, loyal, a peacemaker, and a Creative! I have a deep, appreciative love for our Creator and pray to please Him every day. I am deeply empathetic and wish to help everyone! I love the outdoors, in particular, the mountains. My hubby and I go on very long walks every day! We love to hike! I love ice skating, singing, music, gardening, and being alone. Nature reboots me- that is my mini vacation every day. I truly miss wall phones and answering machines. It feels like the next disruption is a ding or notification; away, I miss a simpler time!
I began my artsy, fartsy life- out the gate! I have always loved color and decorating. When I was young, I didn’t “play” barbies- I made furniture from cardboard and magazines, rugs from fabric etc. I collaged my teenage bedroom walls with things I loved- nature, probably the most! I really began the adult-crafting in the late 80’s. I did bits of crochet (still have the blankets and cross-stitch made for each baby). I have quilted for each grandson, too. I got serious about paper crafting and card making (embossing/rubber stamping) in 1994... I've been hooked ever since. Love still, scrapbooking, cardmaking, journaling, and all things paper!

Craft Tip or Must-Have Tool
My Favorite Crafting Tool or Tip:
Enjoy the process. Don’t let it feel like “work.” I craft all the time and use creativity to reboot and recharge. It is my creative therapy. So, I don’t rush things. When it becomes a “have-to”, I simply reassess! I am detail-oriented and love paying attention to the tiny features, too.
FAV Must-have tool is the Reverse Tweezers!! Do not ask how many I have! HAHAHAAA!
A Peek Into My Craft Space
About My Craft Space: This is my Happy, Cheery Creative Space, and it brings me pure Joy! I walk in here and browse around- simply touching things and looking at past makes that have not been gifted yet. I love, love, LOVE color, and I have color everywhere! I have a rustic, grunge style, but in a neat, not-too-cluttered way. I love personal touches everywhere. Mostly things given to me by my children. Words are everywhere- they tell a viewer tons about me.
As an interior designer…..I have fun reorganizing and improving upon the already functional fabulousness! We love (hubby and I) building my organizing areas and furniture. We have built nearly every piece of furniture in my room. If not built entirely, altered, rebuilt, or changed in some way.
I am a very messy crafter. I end up working in about an 8”x8” space. Looks like a tornado blazed through! When all is finished and photographed, everything cleans up quickly, as I am very organized and everything has a home. Most things are tucked into a readily available drawer, magnet sheet & sleeve, or jar. But easily at my disposal for the next make.
