Hello! I am going to show you how to create this fun gift card holder just in time for the holidays.
Step 1: Creating the card base.
Using the ECD Soft finish Cardstock cut 4 ¼” lengthwise (cutting in half), then score at 5 ½” and 9 ¾.” Fold in half at the score line and fold out at the other score line.
Step 2: Using the green plaid paper from the Holly Jolly Christmas paper pack cut a piece that measures 5 ¼” x 4”
Step 3: Cut that same piece at 2 inches and flip the paper over to use both patterns.
Step 4: Adhere paper to card base as shown.
Step 5: Taking a piece of the red argyle paper from the same paper pack, cut a piece measuring 1”x4 “. Adhere to the front fold of the card base, then adhere the flap to the card base. Adhere the sides of the card base together to create the pocket.
Step 6: Creating the gift card holder insert.
Using white cardstock, cut a piece 6 ½” by 3 ¼” and score and fold at 1 ½.” Adhere the sides down to create a pocket.
Step 7: Using the same red argyle paper, cut a piece 3” x 1 ¼” and adhere that to the pocket top. Die cut the word Peace from the 2201 Everyday Words using the red argyle paper for the back, and black cardstock for the word. Adhere to the top of the pocket insert.
Step 8: Die cut and color (I used distress inks) the small tree, sled, and blanket from the 2286 Winter Scenery Accessories. For the gifts, use 2205 Christmas Accessories and cut them out with the same Holly Jolly paper pack. I added a small dot of liquid enamel to the bow on the gift.
Step 9: Adhere all of the die-cut pieces to the card base.
I hope this gift card pocket holder will come in handy for your holiday gift giving.
