What fun I had for 2023!
Hi everyone, Katie here with my last blog post for 2023. What an amazing year it has been teaching, designing and creating with all the wonderful collections from Elizabeth Craft Designs! So I wanted to save these cuties for last... These are the samples I created for the Banff Creative Retreat this past October and I still love looking at them.. I truly think the bear and food truck are my favorite, as I have worked with them the most for my samples and creations. I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my posts and comment. It means the world to me, and I hope todays post brings you some inspiration. I look forward to seeing your creations on the EDC family page and until next year sit back have some coffee and check out my post.
Step 1: Cut your beaver and Mountie from your favorite card stock, I prefer a 85lb weight of stock. Then ink your edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, I added pink to the beavers cheeks, after I have cut out and inked the edges I assembled as per the package. The logs where cut out from Devid's Art Journal Special "Lost in the woods", the tress are from Esther's Mason Jar Planner page kit. The planner page bases where cut from the new Beautiful Brights and Pretty Pastel Collections.
Step 2: Same process as Step 1, cut your critters from heavy card stock and ink the edges. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and assembled. The hats and scarves for the the Moose (Liam) and Bear (Oli) are cut from the designer paper collections as well as the trees.
Step1: Cut your food truck parts from designer paper, the bottom part of the truck I ran through a 3D embossing folder to give it some details. the critters are created the same way as above, I added the the tree and the Canadian Flag to the top of the truck.
Step 2: I added card base to the back of the truck and wheels, so the card can stand up on its wheels.
After your card has been assembled you will want to use white heavy acrylic paint and speckle your planner pages and Coffee Truck Card.
Happy Holidays and I hope 2024 brings you a Creative and Happy New Year!
